Styrene-butadiene
rubber (SBR), a general-purpose synthetic rubber, produced from a
copolymer of styrene and butadiene. 70 shore A black SBR rubber sheet is
known for its exceptional resistance to abrasion and its extraordinary
tensile strength that makes it very long lasting. This polymer is better
than natural rubber when it comes to ageing and temperature resistance.
black SBR rubber sheet also has excellent mechanical properties and is
often used for coating rubber sheets.
Aside
from the good insulation and shock absorption qualities they provide,
70 shore A black SBR rubber sheet can also resist inorganic chemical
products, tearing and the ozone. These sheets are ideal for automotive
and construction industries. Commercial 70 shore A black SBR rubber
sheet can be supplied in full rolls or cut to meet your specific
requirements utilising our in-house CNC machining Materials
What is Styrene Butadiene Rubber?
Styrene
butadiene rubber, commonly referred to as SBR, is a tough and resilient
synthetic rubber material. It is so durable that it is a common rubber
material used in the production of vehicle tires. Synthetic SBR is also
highly resistant to damaging outdoor factors, including UV rays and
ozone, allowing it to be an excellent indoor/outdoor rubber.
Advantages and disadvantages of styrene-butadiene rubber
SBR
rubber is frequently employed as a direct replacement for natural
rubber. It offers a number of advantages, including excellent abrasion
resistance, crack endurance and ageing characteristics.
Styrene-butadiene also delivers good compression set resistance and
water resistance.
The
main disadvantages of SBR are its poor strength without reinforcement
(using fillers like carbon black), low resilience, low tear strength and
inferior low-temperature properties compared to natural rubber.
