Glass fiber filled PTFE gasket (known as fibreglass reinforced PTFE gasket) is manufactured from a base of virgin PTFE which is strengthened by the addition of 15% or 25% glass fiber. This 15% or 25% glass fiber filled PTFE gasket exhibits less deformation under loads at both high and low temperatures which increases its utility as a sealing medium.
